I am and Am I

The word I used by someone to to refer to him or herself i,e " I live in Ireland". The word I am or I'm refer to what you are doing or how you are feeling so it is a descriptive word.
for example is :

1. "I am little busy right now" 
2. "I am bored"
3. "I am sad"

and I am is used to make statement like "I am a cadet"or "I am a Student"
Am I is usually used for

1. Questioning. "Am I supposed to be here for the day after tomorrow?"
2. Challenging a statement. "You are very tall."."Am I?"

Example :
I am = I am your Father (declaring)
Am I = Am I your Father? (asking)
